You say that technically you’re a church; what’s that all about?

If you have any experience with the church world; we’re not much like that. We think, look and act differently; we’ve come up with different answers than the traditional church and probably have more questions than answers. We have no choice; we have to be different.  After all, 90% of our friends sleep outdoors year around.

    I’m liking what I see about homepdx already. So, if someone has some extra cash to throw at homepdx, is it a 501(c)(3)?

    We are a 501c3. Right now we are under the canopy of The Bridge. We are in the process of digging up the cash to get our own separate non-profit. But ALL contributions are tax deductable.

    I never knew we were a 501c3! Whatever that means I am glad it is nonprofit and I am glad I can be a part of it.

    We are a nonprofit in so many ways. We haven’t figured out how to get rich off the backs of the poor yet.

    I have tears in my eyes as I read this. I so wish I had community like this for my family to be a part of. For now, our family can be a part of HomePDX, and help… even though we are here in AZ.

    501c3. That means that the particular tax bill that this group is governed by had at least 500 other ‘cases’ before your case, and who knows how many cases after your case. And in the 501st case, your case, there are at least 3 and maybe more lettered subdivisions. And you are covered by the 3rd part of the 3rd subdivision. :-)
